CSC PARTNERS WITH AMTZ TO STRENGTHEN DELIVERY OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO RURAL INDIA

The Common Services Centers has signed MoU with Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Ltd. (AMTZ), a State government enterprise, for extending healthcare services leveraging technology to citizens in rural India.

As per the MoU, AMTZ would support CSC in acquiring medical devices and provide diagnostic kits and vision care kits for CSC AyurSanjeevaniKendras. It will also help CSC set up Medicine dispensing ATMs and water testing facilities at these centers.

CSC SPV has been undertaking healthcare services such as telemedicine in Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Allopathy through its Village Level Entrepreneurs. CSC has also set up 6000 AyurSanjeevaniKendras, one in every Block across the country, for extension of healthcare services to rural population.

AMTZ would also provide training and capacity building for CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLES) managing the AyurSanjeevaniKendras.

The first batch of 100 VLEs will be sent to Visakhapatnam for extensive training in handling and maintenance of medical equipments and diagnostic kits.

Elaborating on the partnership, MD, CSC SPV, Dr. Dinesh Tyagi said: “AMTZ specialises in providing medical technologies. The collaboration with CSC will help in use of these emerging technologies for the benefit of rural citizens across the country. The collaboration will also strive to achieve a sustainable model for extension of healthcare to rural India using modern tools and technologies.”
